...About Last Week Stress

Ok, I know everyone is stressin out right now...and rightfully so. I mean it's the last week before school ends and we have exams and essays and assignments to complete before then. But I just want to tell everyone to relax. It'll all be over soon. Just try to focus for 5 more days and then you can breathe. FREEDOM is right around the corner. Can you see it??? I can. Man I can't wait to get things done. And then in 2 weeks Ronnie will be here and I can hang out with him all day and all night without having to worry about school or teaching the next day. We can stay up all night and watch movies galore...of course my mom has pointed out that I never stay up with him even if I can because I always fall asleep on his shoulder on the couch...but that's really besides the point.

Ok so for me 8 more days to freedom....just 8....8....yes.....

Inhale. Exhale. And repeat.

...About Little Words of Wisdom

My friend from Australia sent me a little gift not too long ago. It's Little Affirmations- Little Words of Wisdom. Inside it says this:
This Little Affirmations pack contains inspirational quotations designed to uplift and enlighten. Draw guidance and wisdom by keeping one where you can see it....since you can't see the cards I will share them with you. Once a week I will share with you what one of these cards say.

May these messages be Words to live by...

Many curse the rain that falls
upon their heads,
and know not that it brings
abundance to drive away hunger.

...About Ronnie and the ROM

I am going to start off this blog by asking one of the things that Steve always asks: What do these things have in common? Nothing, except I had fun with both of them.

Ronnie:
When Ronnie was here we went to a Pre-Wedding Celebration, which I already mentioned in my blog entry before this. We had a lot of fun that night. We danced, won some prizes, got sombraros and shakers (?) and ate a lot of great FREE food. Well, I ate as much as I could, which surprisingly wasn't that much at all because my mom fed us both before we went there for some reason. But basically they had a buffet of every food that they have on their menu so that we can try the foods on our rough copy of our personalized menu and decide whether we want to change anything around. We both had an amazing time that night and a whole lotta fun, but in all honesty we felt like we were the only 'couple' there...ya know? Like no one else at our table was having fun with their significant other except us...except for maybe one couple that was kinda cool, who happened to both be Palestinian. Like, where is the love people??!! It was kinda weird...but anyway. FUN FUN FUN

What else was fun?

ROM:
Last Friday I went to the ROM with my FDNS class....I drove down there with Steve and Karen...and what was supposed to be a 40 min. drive took us, oh I don't know, 2 hours. Why? a) D gave us the wrong directions, b) none of us have any directional skills (?), and c) steve's window was broken so he couldn't roll it down to ask for help, and he also refused to roll down mine for me to do it. what a jerk. anyway we finally got there, after several detours but A LOT of laughs and met our class for the last 15 mins. To make our trip worthwhile we stayed there ourselves and walked around. That place is great. I have never been there before so it was a whole new experience for me. My favourite part: the kids area. lol. Now, according the a wheel we spun, if we were born again I would be a ??? oh shoot I forget!! Steve what are we gonna be?? Whatever the case was, Steve concluded he was the winner. We also tried on some wings and checked to see how big our wing soan was. And then we tried on some body armour. Steve tried on chest aromour and it looked like he was pregnent. lol. I think at one point he even rubbed it like it was his belly. what a goose. when we made it down to the third floor we wanted to go back up to look at the Egyptian section. But we were so tired so instead we took the elevator. Now usually this would be fine, but it said that it was really only meant for the eldery and the disabled. We aren't elderly but in some ways we are disabled. Anyway, when we got up there and the door opened there were two old people sitting there on the bench...and man i felt like such a fool. And I so badly wanted to laugh. I mean, they probably thought we were such idiots to be taking the elevator. Finally when all was said and done, and when steve looked at all the 'killing things' we went home. We couldn't find the car for a minute but when we did and went out to pay we realized we had a problem...since steves window didnt work he had to open the door and get out of the car to pay to booth guy. that was funny. but asking the guy for directions was funnier...his words "left, left, right." we were like...ok, but right on to where? he told us...in a tone like he was going to chop steves head off if he asked him one more question. creepy. lol poor guy, stuck in the booth all day probably gets asked the same question all the time. well, we got home 2 hours later and I personally came home and crashed. steve went to play hockey, couldnt find the place and then came home to crash. good times.

anyway...some pics for your viewing pleasure...

This was the hall that we went too.

Yes, we both know we have cream on our nose. I thought it was cute...but that's just me. I love this pic the most. One of my favourtie ones we have of me and him together.

...About Falling More in Love

How can you fall more in love with the man you are destined to be with?
Read and find out...

Ronnie came this weekend, a day early by surprise. His surprise arrival on Thursday was great. More time to spend together. But on Friday Ronnie told me that he had another surprise for me. I was dying to know what it was, but of course him telling me would take away from the surprise. So Friday afternoon at 12, a limo drove up to the house to pick us up. It was really nice. So I was like, where are we going? I was told to just relax. After about 20 mins. we drove up in front of a really nice day spa. He told me that since I have never been to a spa before and I have been a lil stressed lately he wanted to treat me out. So I thought that was really nice. We did the whole couples thing, so we went in and got a nice full body massage. When it was over we were laying in the room just relaxing and all of a sudden "Beautiful" by James Blunt comes on and I turn to Ronnie and tell him, what a beautiful way to end things, and he nodded in agreement. Then the second song came on and it was "Far Away" by Nickleback. That made me suspicious. I was like, Ronnie is our cd? And he denied it. But of course when the third song came on I knew it was set up for the people there to play our cd, which was really nice. After a lady came and tapped on our door and said that out lunch was ready. So I got up to open the door and when I did on the floor were rose petals in the shape of a heart and rose petals everywhere else, with a nice table set up for us with candles and wine. And when I saw this I just started to cry. And he told me tostop because I was going to make him cry, but I couldn't help it. I was totally not expecting it at all. He had apprently booked the spa just for us so that we would not be interupted. It was great. So we sat down, ate some japanese food and he started the 'I love you' talk. And I was going to say my thing to him but he stopped me and said "Before you do I have something to give you..." and he got down on one knee and pulled out a diamond ring and asked me if I would accept it from it...all the while our cd is playing and he does it while our song is on....perfect timing. Of course I said yes. After that we went and had a pedicure done, which was nice. And all the workers there wanted to see the ring. Apparently everyone was in on the plan, which is amazing. I dont know how this guy set it up all the way in Regina. Sheesh. When we were done, a limo picked us up again and drove us home.

Later that night we went to a Pre-Wedding Celebration at the Miss. Convention Center, where all couple that are planning their wedding there in the next year get invited to attend a party they hold. It was a lot of fun. I won the center piece! yeah! and we took another table's center piece too....tee hee.

It was an absolutely amazing day.

But now I am missing him. :(
I won't see him again until Dec. 18....thats a LONG time. But he will stay for 3 weeks the next time he is here so that will be a lot of fun. I can't wait.

So that was only a part (a big part) of my wonderful weekend. Where I fell more in love with that man than before. Who knew it was possible.
